ClassParty: All About Criolla Grapes @ Super Bien

The word Criolla refers to a person or thing of Spanish-descent, born or developed in the Americas. For our purposes, the things are Criolla grapes, a family of grape varieties indigenous to South America. No, this isn’t a class about Pais—about 150 varieties of Criolla have been identified (so far) and we’re going to taste 3: Quebranta, Criolla Grande and Pedro Giménez.

We’ll be pouring:

’22 Alpamanta ‘Breva’ Criolla Pet Nat, Mendoza
’21 Bodega Calle ‘Dharma’ Orange, Mendoza
’18 Pepe Moquillaza ‘Quebrada de Ihuanco,’ Cañete

We call these ClassParties because you’ll do equal parts learning and having fun, we hope to see you there <3

When class is over, feel free to stick around and drink your way through all the countries represented on our list—we’re open until 8 p.m. Sundays.
