FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Located at the crossroads of Western Avenue and Arsenal Street at Soldiers Field Road, The Speedway is easily accessible from downtown Boston, Cambridge, Watertown, Newton, and beyond.

The site is serviced by multiple bus lines, including the 70 and 86 lines, and a short walk (0.7mi) to the Boston Landing Commuter Rail station.

The Speedway has a 26 space first-come, first-serve parking lot, as well as ample free parking along Western Avenue.

Bike parking is located in The Speedway parking lot.

Speedway visitors can park next door at 495 Western Ave on Thursdays + Fridays after 6pm, and every weekend WHEN SIGNS ARE POSTED—just look for the blue “Additional Parking” signs when you arrive (these signs will indicate when this extra lot is available to Speedway visitors).

As a reminder, these extra lots are ONLY AVAILABLE when you see the blue “Additional Parking” signs.

We ask that you enter through the entrance that reads GATE 1, closest to the parking lot on Western Avenue. If you are visiting a business in our lower courtyard (Birds of Paradise or Garage B) there is a small gate entrance at the bottom of the Speedway parking lot.

YES! As of June, 2023 – dogs are now allowed in outdoor spaces at The Speedway.

In order to keep this privilege, here are some guidelines:

  1. Know your dog.
  2. Keep your dog on leash at all times.
  3. Clean up after your dog.
  4. Dogs much stay outside (exception: service animals)
  5. We reserve the right to ask you and your dog to leave.

The Speedway is a family-friendly location!

While you are visiting with your family, please follow these guidelines:

  • Please keep your children close and within your line of sight at all times
  • No balls, chalk, or running are permitted
  • The stage and tiered steps are not designed for climbing–please closely supervise your children in these areas
  • In order to keep the Speedway a safe and enjoyable experience for
all, we reserve the right to ask individuals to leave

Please note: Notch Brewing strictly  becomes 21+ plus after 6 pm 7 days a week. This includes toddlers + babies.

So many! Notch Provisions, Super Bien, Pizza Project, the Koji Club and Birds of Paradise all serve food. Pretzels, sausages, cheese plates, empanadas, sandwiches, salads, handrolls, caviar – the Speedway has real range! FIND OUT MORE HERE.

We know this is complicated! Notch Brewing is on a separate alcohol license than the rest of The Speedway, which means that beer poured from their taps MUST remain in their taproom or biergarten (gravel area) at all times. The Koji Club, Super Bien, and Birds of Paradise are on a different alcohol license, which means they can mingle on the patio area of the courtyard. Unfortunately, this also means there can be no crossover between beer and wine/sake/cocktails.

Individual hours are set by each business owner. We recommend checking each business for specific hours before you visit.
