FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do I get to the Speedway?

Located at the crossroads of Western Avenue and Arsenal Street at Soldiers Field Road, The Speedway is easily accessible from downtown Boston, Cambridge, Watertown, Newton, and beyond.

The site is serviced by multiple bus lines, including the 70 and 86 lines, and a short walk (0.7mi) to the Boston Landing Commuter Rail station.

  • Where can I park?

The Speedway has a 26 space first-come, first-serve parking lot, as well as ample free parking along Western Avenue.

Bike parking is located in The Speedway parking lot.

  • Where do I enter the Speedway?

We ask that you enter through the entrance that reads GATE 1, closest to the parking lot on Western Avenue. If you are visiting a business in our lower courtyard (Birds of Paradise or Garage B) there is a small gate entrance at the bottom of the Speedway parking lot.

  • Can I bring my dog?

While we REALLY love our four-legged friends, dogs are not permitted at The Speedway due to City of Boston mandates (with the exception of service animals.)

  • What kind of food options do you have?

So many! Notch Provisions, Super Bien, Pizza Project, the Koji Club and Birds of Paradise all serve food. Pretzels, sausages, cheese plates, empanadas, sandwiches, salads, handrolls, caviar – the Speedway has real range! Find out more here.

  • What’s the deal with alcohol at The Speedway?

We know this is complicated! Notch Brewing is on a separate alcohol license than the rest of The Speedway, which means that beer poured from their taps MUST remain in their taproom or biergarten (gravel area) at all times. The Koji Club, Super Bien, and Birds of Paradise are on a different alcohol license, which means they can mingle on the patio area of the courtyard. Unfortunately, this also means there can be no crossover between beer and wine/sake/cocktails.

  • When is the Speedway open?

Individual hours are set by each business owner. We recommend checking each business for specific hours before you visit. Generally speaking, Notch Brewing and Birds of Paradise are open 7 days a week, and everyone else is open Wednesday through Sunday – for now!

  • Can I book a private event at the Speedway?
