About the Cambridge Art Association:
Founded in 1944, the Cambridge Art Association (CAA) is a vibrant community of visual artists and arts supporters. From humble beginnings on Church Street in Harvard Square to current locations in West Cambridge and at the Charles River Speedway, the CAA supports over 650 New England-based artists – from those just starting out to established practitioners.
In addition to an acclaimed exhibition program focused on contemporary New England artists, the CAA hosts skills-based and professional development workshops; an annual Portfolio Review event; and a weekly figure drawing group. Regular networking events connect our members to each other, and to opportunities at art centers throughout New England. And, the CAA fosters an appreciation for visual art, as well as financial support for visual artists, through a long-running corporate art program.
