Boston’s first sake bar!
The Koji Club is a safe space to learn about and celebrate Japanese sake, and to reframe sake from an esoteric sushi companion to an approachable everyday beverage choice. At the Koji Club, guests can enjoy sake while also learning about its culture and history from an industry leader and tastemaker.
Founded in 2020 by advanced sake professional Alyssa Mikiko DiPasquale, the Koji Club started out as a “virtual clubhouse” of bi-weekly tastings and special events, though the long term vision always included a physical location. We are so glad Alyssa found her home in The Speedway.
In July 2022, Alyssa was named Boston Magazine‘s Best Beverage Director in their annual Best of Boston issue, and most recently on Condé Nast Travelers’ 2023 Hot List: Best New Restaurants in the World.
